This is a view of the old Breakers Hotel. It is on of the few North Beach Structures to survive the 1919 hurricane though the pavilion did not survive. Note how calm the water surface appears. This leads me to believe it was taken in the early morning hours. Later increasing wind velocity can the expected to stir up a modest surf. The Zirlel summer home was several hundred feet north of the hotel.
