This picture illustrates the character of the camp site.  The Medina is not a large river probably averaging not more than 30 to 40 feet in width. Characteristically it forms a long deep pool followed by a somewhat faster running drain to another pool below..  Trotlines can be set from bank to bank for catfish.  A lucky fisherman might also catch bass.
