In the album the soldier pictured here with Ed Arnold on the steps of the Monumental street is is identified only as Sergeant Causey. I am pretty sure it is Charley Causey, but there is, however the possibility that he was Charley's brother, Ed Causey. I remember visiting the Charley Causey Family at their home in Lissie Texas in the 1930's. There were two boys about my age or a bit older, Wesley and Gordon. One of the brothers, I'm not sure which, later graduated from the Naval Academy at Annapolis and became a career Naval officer; the other became a professional engineer. The two things I most remember was the cream gravy served with the fried chicken for Sunday dinner and how I succeeded in stampeding the cow while Charley was demonstrating milking to his city visitors. I managed this by innocently tapping my fist against the animal's knee during the demonstration. The bucket went a flying and so did the cow!
