This is a photo of my dad and me that was taken in December (obviously), about 1957 in our Kansas City, Missouri home. I was 4 years old (my best guess) but I could be off a year.

Are you impressed by the "Charlie Brown" Christmas Tree? How about the yellow and black monkey below the tree? I still have the monkey. My dad died Christmas Day, 1971. While we were not close, twenty-seven years later, I still miss him.

"Here is my favorite photo, and when you mentioned Father's Day photos, this one just seemed to fit perfectly. This is a photo of five generations of my family: My grandfather is standing in the back, with his dad (my great grandfather) sitting in front of him. HIS father (my great, great grandfather) is holding me (I'm the little one!) and my dad is on the other side. When I think of family, I think of this. When I think of genealogy, I think of this. And when I think of Fathers, I think of this..."

"Here is a recent picture of my dad, Bill Douglass of Ajijic, Mexico."

"I've attached photos of my 2 daughters [Missy, left; Mindy, right] with my father, which were taken in March '98, just prior to his death in April.

We knew his time was short, and my daughters flew from California to Illinois to spend some time with grandpa - it was a trip they will never forget, and they have many fond memories of it.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!"
