Sir George was killed with his father at the battle of Dunbar, 1650. His patent of Baronatage passed the Great Seal, Sibbold's Geneal. Cal., but it was not entered on the record.

George married Catherine Morrison, daughter of Sir Alexander Morrison of Prestongrange and Helonora Maule, on 14 Aug 1635 in Scotland. (Catherine Morrison was born in 1615 of Prestongrange and died after 1695 in Wedderburn Castle, Berwickshire, Scotland.)
