According to "Families of Early Milford, Connecticut" by Susan Woodruff Abbott, 1979:

The following is the only information Abbott has on a William East:

"William East came to Milford as a freeplanter with the Prudden group and had allotted to him 2 acres 3 rods. He died Milford 27 Aug 1661. Admitted to the church 8 May 1640. In 1655 he was a signer for more lands from the Indians and a partner of Richard Bryan. Little is known of him, or whom he married."

William married Mary Baldwin, daughter of Sylvester Baldwin and Sarah Bryan, on 16 Mar 1675/76 in Milford, New Haven Co, CT.⁸³ (Mary Baldwin was born on 22 Apr 1621 ⁸³ and died on 1 Feb 1707/08 in Milford, New Haven Co, CT ⁸³.)
