  General Notes:

Per the 1930 Federal Census, Oscar and Evelyn married in 1928. At that time, Evelyn's daughter, Virgie Lee, was already 5 years old. Both Oscar and Evelyn (age 25 at the time of the census) indicated that they were 23 years old when they first married. This would indicate that Virgie was born out of wedlock. Her father was born in Arkansas.

Evelyn married Oscar Joseph Leffle Whitson, son of James Franklin Whitson and Mary Margaret Block, on 12 Aug 1928 in Winfield, Cowley County, KS. (Oscar Joseph Leffle Whitson was born on 14 Jul 1904 in Sedalia, Missouri, died on 19 Aug 1959 in Pawnee, Oklahoma and was buried on 22 Aug 1959 in Highland Cemetery, Pawnee, OK.) The cause of his death was Apparent Heart Attack.
