SOURCE: The Patterson Family History by William B. Putman, Jr. tells that John Patterson wrote his Will on 10 July 1790 while still living in Orange County, North Carolina and it was proved there in May of 1791 after his death.
According to his will, daughter Margaret was married to James Abbott.


James married Margaret Patterson, daughter of John Patterson and Margaret.
