Alexander IMRIE was born to Elizabeth IMRIE in in 1863 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland.  There is no father listed on the birth certificate.  Alexander spent some time in Canada as a young man but returned to Scotland with the body of a friend that had died in Canada.  There, he met and married Amelia Lamb MCQUEEN.  They had 12 children then moved to Montreal.  Amelia died in 1933.  Alexander eventually moved to San Jose, California where several of his children were living. He died in 1949.

Looking for any more information on Alexander and especially his mother, Elizabeth.  She was a mill worker in Dundee at the time of his birth.
