Northern IrelandNorthern Ireland has a population of
around 1.6m people and covers an area of 14,000 sq km. It is divided into the six
counties of Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone. Half
the population live in or near the capital City of Belfast, situated on the east
coast.
