Radcliffe MAWHINNEY was born about 1857 somewhere in Northern
Ireland. His father was Robert and Robert was a farmer who died
sometime about 1893.
Radcliffe moved
to England where he married Hannah Eliza BRASSINGTON in 1880. They
had eleven children in and around Manchester then they all moved to
Montreal in 1905 and 1906. All seven of their sons served in WWI;
two (John and Radcliffe) did not make it home. Hannah died in 1925;
Radcliffe in 1929.
