In the middle of the nineteenth century the
Nooyen and Herman(s)
families of Noord-Brabant province in the Netherlands, plus the
Vanderheyden
family from the Flemish province of Brabant in Belgium,
left their traditional homes and relatives to
settle in the New World in a
distant land that was called
Wisconsin.
Settling in the area around Green Bay and the Fox River Valley,
they built their homes, farmed the land, and tended their
livestock in what would later become one of the richest and
most productive agricultural areas in the world.
This is their story.
