Will of Thomas Hollingsworth of Wake County, North Carolina

    In the name of God Amen - I THOMAS HOLLINGSWORTH of the County
of Wake and State of North Carolina, being in perfect health and of 
sound mind and memory Thanks be given unto God, calling to mind the 
mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once
to die, do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament, (i.e.)
principally and first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of 
God and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian Burial
at the discretion of my Executors - and Touching such worldly estate
wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life, I Give
demise and dispose of in the following manner, and form - 
First, I give and bequeath to my loving daughter FRANCES MILLER, one
Cow to her and her Heirs forever.
Item, I Give and bequeath to my loving son HENRY HOLLINGSWORTH, One 
hundred and fifty acres of Land that I bought of DAVID and THOMAS 
WILLIAMS to him and his Heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my loving son JOEL HOLLINGSWORTH one 
hundred and fifty four acres of Land, that I bought of JAS. LEE, 
to him and his Heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving son WILLIAM TAYLOR 
HOLLINGSWORTH, the Land and plantation whereon I now live, containing 
two hundred Acres to him and his Heirs forevr.
Item, I give and bequeath to my loving daughter, POLLY HOLLINGSWORTH 
one Negroe Girl named URSEY to her and her Heirs forever. Also one bed 
and furniture, one Woman's saddle.
All the residue of my estate, I give to my beloved wife BETSY during 
her natural life or Widowhood, be it of what kind of quality soever, 
and at the expiration of that time to be equally divided between HENRY 
HOLLINGSWORTH and JOEL HOLLINGSWORTH  and WILLIAM TAYLOR HOLLINGSWORTH 
and POLLY HOLLINGSWORTH, to them and their heirs forever. I appoint 
EDWARD DORUM and my loving Wife BETSY my whole and sole Executors of 
this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, 
revoke and disannul all and every other Will or Wills ratifying this 
and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In WITNESS whereof I 
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of Jany. 1802.

EZELL a subscribing witness thereto and Ordered to be recorded.

INVENTORY of the estate of THOMAS HOLLINGSWORTH, decd. May the 18th,
1803. (To-wit)
504 acres of land, seven Negroes, (to-wit) BETSEY, JOHN, EADY, DAVID
CATOR, URSEY, ISHAM, four head of Horses, fourteen head of Cattle,
forty one head of hogs, four Beds and furniture, one Chest, two Trunks
one Case, three spinning wheels, one flax wheel, one Loom & Gear,
