The original book is in the possession of Mr. Melvin Tingle of Decatur, Mississippi. James Ellis ran a store at Decatur about the time Isaac Hollingsworth first came into that part of Mississippi, having moved northward from the Pearl River area down in Lawrence County, over a period of time beginning in 1811 or 1812 when he came from Franklin County, Georgia.
