NOTE: This family was almost illegible in both filmings at our library (T-8, ca 1937: M-593 1965) and we pieced this reading together with our eyesight aided by a blow-up on a reader-printer. Seaborn might be Josephine. Finding the family in 1880 shows that Amanda may be Ormandy! CONCLUDED.

An Early Virginia Hollinsworth

The Parish Register of Christ Church, Middlesex County, Va., from 1653 to 1812, (1897), p. 22, lists wedding of John Cocking & Hannah Hollinsworth, 28th Xemb. (Dec.) 1683, and on page 30 the baptism of Sarah Cocking ye Daughter of Jno. & Hannah Cocking borne 6th Aug bapt 7 Novbr 1686. A duplicate of this appears on page 32. From another source, we have a Mr John Coggin who was to be the reader for lower chappell vestry held Christ Church 8th Day May 1677.
We have had these notes for decades, and recently were given the above book, fully and newly indexed. No other entry can be found.
Just who Hannah Hollinsworth was remains a mystery.
