Dianah McQueen Hoover's Headstone

Dianah McQueen Hoover was the daughter of
John and Polly Allendale McQueen. She was born about 1803. Various records
show her place of birth as Kentucky, North Carolina or Tennessee. On 21 Sep 1826, she married Daniel Hoover in Gallatin County, KY. They lived about 10 years in Indiana, showing up on the Estill County Census in 1840. Daniel and Dianah had the following children: Mary, Eda (also known as Edith or Edah), Rachel, Rebecca Lou, Ari Edna, and John Andrew Jackson. Dianah died 19 May 1879 and is buried in the Hoover Cemetery on Barnes Mountain. |
