Andrew "Andy" Hoover's Headstone

Andrew Jackson Hoover was born in Aug 1858
in Owsley County. He died in Estill County on 09 Apr 1939 at Mary Chesney Hoover
Cox's home. Mary Chesney was his youngest surviving daughter. On 11 Sep 1879, he married Frances "Fanny" Jane Plowman, daughter of Henry and Jane Pursley Plowman. After Fannie's death in 1915, he married Sarah Horn. Andy is buried next to Fannie in the Hoover Cemetery on Barnes Mountain. They rest near his father, his grandparents, and her father. |
