Henry was born about 1814 in Madison County, KY.  He was the son of Thomas and Jane Roach Plowman.   He died in Estill County on 05 Dec 1896.

Jane is seen on various records with different names.  She's seen as Mary Jane, Mary Margaret, Margaret Jane and finally, the combination of all three:   Mary Margaret Jane.  She was born about 1813 in Kentucky and died sometime between 1897 and 1900 in Estill County.

Henry's buried in the Hoover Cemetery located on Barnes Mountain.   He rests near his daughter, Fannie Plowman Hoover.  It's not known where Jane is buried, but presumed it was in the same cemetery. 

Henry and Jane were the parents of seven known children:   Nancy, Mary Jane, Barnett, Thomas, William Scott, Angeline and Fannie.  There is a record of a Sally Plowman living in their house in 1850.  However, Henry had a half-sister named Sally who was about the same age.  It's not known if this is the same Sally or possibly a daughter of Henry's.
