On 07 Jun 1886, he married Nancy Lutisha Cole in Estill County.  She was the daughter of William and Matilda Cole.

Thomas and Nancy were the parents of 10 known children:  Lucy, Alexander, Matilda, Lou Annie, Alvertie, Miranda, John, William, Richard and Letha.

Thomas died 16 May 1936.  Nancy died 6 days later on 22 May 1936.  They had been married almost 70 years.

Thomas is buried in the Campbell Cemetery located on Doe Creek Road.
