These ladies are 3 of the 4 daughter of
the first marriage of John Graddison Sparks. Their mother was Barthena Jane Parsons.
Barthena died in childbirth 20 Mar 1893 with their youngest brother, Daniel
Crawford Sparks. Daniel died the next day. Mother and son were buried together
in the Parsons Cemetery in Jackson County. Standing is Lucinda Sparks Hoover. She was born 08 Apr 1911 in either Jackson or Estill County. She died 10 Feb 1980 in S. Irvine, KY. She married Jim Dan Hoover on 31 Dec 1908 in Estill County. On the left is Mollie Sparks Richardson. She was born 02 Sep 1887 in Jackson County. She died 19 Aug 1965 in Fayette County, IN. She married Bantford Richardson on 15 Dec 1904 in Estill County. On the right is Minnie Sparks McQueen. Minnie was born 17 Jun 1889 in Jackson County. She died 22 Oct 1968 in California. She married John P. McQueen. |
