LILLIAN MAUGHAN
Mrs. Lillian B. Maughan, 89, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Irene) Sweeny, 2417 Bethany Rd., for the past five years, died Tuesday noon at the New Haven Nursing Home after an illness of one month.
Born in Cicero, July 5, 1877, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Slidinger, she had come here from Winona Lake.
She was a member of the First Church of God at Warsaw. Her husband, Thomas B. Maughan, died in 1929.
Surviving besides the daughter are two grandchildren, Norman P. Sweeny of St. Paul, Minn. and Mrs. Harold (Naomi) Conrad of Indianapolis; seven great - grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.
Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Brown and Butz Funeral Home. Acquaintances are welcome to attend. The Rev. E. L. Bleiler, retired minister, formerly pastor here, will officiate. Burial will take place Friday at the Beverly Cemetery at Chicago.
