GENERAL AFFIDAVIT.

State of Indiana, County of Starke, ss:

In the matter of Pension Invalis Claim Certificate No. 362.802 of Matthis T. Hepner, Co. "D", 29 Reg't Ind. Volunteers.

Personally came before me, a Clerk of Court in and for the aforesaid County and State, Joseph A. Garner, aged 53 years, a citizen of Knox, No. [blank] Street, County of Starke State of Indiana, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declares in relation to the aforesaid case, as follows:

I was aquainted with Matthis T. Hepner. Thirty Seven years ago. and have known him Ever since. I know he returned home from the army with chronic diarrhoea and that he has had it Each and Every year since. and That it has so afficted him that he is Not able to Earn a living.

I further declares that I have no interest in said case, and am not concerned in its prosecution.

Sworn to and subscribed before me this day by the above-named affiant, and I certify that I read said affidavit to said affiant, including the words ---- erased and the words ---- added, and axquainted ---- with its contents before ---- executed the same. I further cetrify that I am in nowise interested in said case, nor am I concerned in its prosecution; and that said affiant is a Reliable & trustworthy person & that I am personally acquainted with him.
