Ollie D. Hepner

 

Ollie D. Hepner, 2702 So. Michigan St., South Bend, died Saturday morning in Hines Veterans Hospital, Chicago, after a two years illness. He was born in Knox July 20, 1872 and had spent nearly his entire life here with the exception of the last two years during which he resided with his daughter, Mrs. John C. Bennett, in South Bend.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. H. W. Blackwell of Grand Lodge, Mich.; two grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Norma Taylor of Michigan City.

In 1919 Mr. Hepner organized the Albert Williams Post 131 which later became an American Legion post. In January of this year he was presented a golden card for life membership in the Legion.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. Joseph Graybill, of the Free Methodist Church wre held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kennedy-Braman Chapel. Interment was made in Crown Hill Cemetery.
