Respectfully returned to the Commissioner of Pensions.

William T. Hepner, a Private of Company D, 29" Regiment Indiana Volunteers, was enrolled on the 13" day of Sept, 1861, at La Porte Ind. for 3 years, and is reported: on Muster rolls of Co. from Enrollment to Dec. 31" '61 Pvt Present, Regtl Return for Nov 1861 does not report him as absent sick or otherwise, Co. was stationed Oct 31" '61 at Camp Nevins Ky., Present as Corpl. to Apl. 30/62, May & June 62 absent cause not stated, Regtl. Returns for May 62 reports him absent on furlough in Inda, for June 62 absent home wounded, July & Aug. 62 Discharged for Disability July ["21" lined out] '62.

Cert. of Disability shows him discharged at Battle Creek Tenn. July 29" 1862.

Nature & location of wound not stated. no new cert for Regtl Hosp Records on file. The Records of this office furnish no evidence of alleged disability Nov 1861
