Jacob Fries for many years an Elder and Benefactor of the Emanuel's Church and Congregation was b. Feb. 17 old style, A.D. 1715, procreated in his first marriage eleven children (of whom two sons survived him) and in his second matrimony six daus., of whom yet four are alive. He d. old and weary of life on March 21, 1801 and was buried on the 24th day of the same month, aged 86 years and 21 days. C. Endress.
