According to the Standard History of Starke County, Indiana, published in
1915, in a biographical sketch of William C. Spoor, referring to his parents:
Six children were born to this worthy and sturdy old pioneer couple:
William C., of this review; Mrs. Lovisa Hepner, the wife of Mathias Hepner of
Knox, both among the oldest born people of Starke County; ...
The marriage and date probably came from a compilation called Starke County
Marriage Records 1850-1890 at the Newberry Library in Chicago, although I
cannot quickly locate my supporting notes.
