Carl K. Bastin, 56, 1026 N. Maple, Rushville, died unexpectedly at 6:25 a.m. Thursday in his home. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. af Murphy's mortuary in Shelbyville with Rev. Kenneth Bates in charge. Friends may visit after
4 p.m. friday and the bural will be at Forest hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. He was born in Connersville, Jan. 29, 1928 to James and (Dora (Griffith)) this is his step mother) mother was Myrtle who died in 1930. He married Marie (Hurley) of
Shelbyville, Dec. 10, 19 ? before moving to rushville two months ago, he was employed by Marsh Supermarket and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors other than his wife and mother
are; Three sons, Randy, Scott, and Steve Bastin all of Canoga Park, Ca., five daughters, Debbie and Judy Bastin Canoga Park, Ca., and Melody Rowe, Greenwood, and Terri and Myra Finch, of Rushville; a brother Dale Bastin, of Shelbyville, and
Geraldine Dora of Connersville. A brother and a sister preceded in death. (Shelbyville news before 1990)
Please note: He has a son by the name of Michael Wendelboe. He was adopted by the husband of his first wife Jean. But at the time of his death Mike did know that Carl Kenneth was his real father.

Mike was adopted shortly after his birth by Wendleboe. But just prior to Kenneth's (Carl) death he found out that he was a Bastin.
