Rachel McGOWAN was the youngest child of Wiley (c.1802-1868) and Tabitha (NORRIS) (c.1822-bef.1868) McGOWAN. She was born c.1861 in Saline Co., IL. On Sept. 6, 1882 she married in White Co., IL to J. C. "Hiram" HUTCHCRAFT (1840-1897), son of Elijah & Elizabeth (RHODES) HUTCHCRAFT. Rachel's died ca. 1896. She & Hiran had four children:
1. Sylvester HUTCHCRAFT was born on Sept. 16, 1883 on Phillips Township, White Co., IL. No further information.
Milton & Nora (Hutchcraft) Stanley

2. Nora Elsie HUTCHCRAFT was born Sept. 7, 1886 in Illinois and died July 7, 1976. She married Milton I. STANLEY, born Oct. 7, 1870, died Sept. 20, 1949. He is buried at Searcy, White Co., Arkansas.
Elvis & Ruby (Vawter) Hutchcraft
3. Elvis Riley HUTCHCRAFT was born Mar. 15, 1892 and died Nov. 18, 1980 in White Co., IL. He married on Jan. 30, 1916 to Ruby VAWTER in DeWitt , Arkansas Co., AR, d/o Newton & Melissa (SANDFORD) VAWTER. She was b. May 14, 1892 and died Sept. 5, 1971.
