Gracey J. Clark was a daughter of Joseph Clark, Jr. & Keziah McGowen. She was born on Oct. 27, 1845, and died on Aug. 31, 1919 in White Co., TN. She married James Trousdale Sanders on Feb. 16, 1871 in White Co., TN. He was a son of Clark Sanders & Elizabeth Holland. He was born on Mar. 18, 1849 in Walling, White Co., TN, and died on Jan. 20, 1924 in White Co., TN. They were members of the Spring Hill Baptist Church of Christ, which Gracey's father Joseph Clark had donated land for, and they were parents of eight children: Ransom, Charlie, Josephine Ann, Texas L. Vena, James, Clark, Venie Florence and Noah Sanders.
