Mildred Letha "Doe" (McGowan) Weston

Mildred Letha "Doe" McGowan, daughter of Dorman Steele McGowan and Florida Helen Jarvis. She married Braxton Milton "Brac" Weston, the son of George Henry Weston, Sr. and Henrietta Tripp (Weston) Weston. He served in the U.S. Army as a veterinarian during WW I and later in Asheboro for most of their lives. Doe was a teacher, graduating from East Carolina Teachers College in Greenville, NC. They were parents of a son, Clifford Clary Weston, who served in the US Army Air Corps in China and India during WW II. Braxton and Doe are both buried in Soule Cemetery in Hyde County.
