Whorton Family Reunion

Kissiah McGowan was born on March 15, 1874 in Saline Co., Illinois. She was a baby when her parents moved to Arkansas ca. 1875. On May 10, 1895 she married Jeptha Harrison Whorton in Taney Co., Missouri. Jeptha was the son of Randa C. & Sarah Catherine (Bolinger) Whorton and was born Sept. 18, 1861 in Arkansas. He had five children with his first wife, Martha Cutbirth. Kissiah was his second wife and they had ten children. Jeptha died on Jan. 18, 1934 and Kissiah died on Feb. 3, 1960. They are both buried in the Great Bend, Kansas Cemetery.
