Nat Credle Home

In the corner of Landing Road where it intersects Hwy. 264 on the curve and Courthouse Square Street which also intersects the highway, is the colonial home of Mr. and Mrs. Nat Credle. Mrs. Credle is the former Eloise Lupton, the daughter of Silas Swain Lupton. The building was formerly the Sadler Swindell-Lupton Hotel. It was used as a hospital during the Civil War.
