NOTE: Our Caroline would have been 40 in 1881; so either she fudged her age on the census to appear closer in age to her husband who was 28, or this is the wrong record.... Given that the second son is named William Henry, after Caroline's Dewhurst father, it is likely that Caroline fudged her age....

[1] Frederick died 1st Q 1889. In 1891, the only Caroline I find is (RG 12/1075) living at 15 Prospect Lane, Tottenham, age 44 and lives as Head of Household with "daughters" Lily, age 22, and Ada, age 22, plus one son named Gerald, age 4 (I wonder if this is an alias for young Herbert who was born just before Frederick's death). This Caroline lists her birthplace as Bramhope, Yorkshire. NOTE: Grama always said that there were a lot of secrets and shame in my grandfather's family - I wonder if I have found a widowed woman living as a "working woman" to make ends meet? Could one of the "girls" be Rosalie??? Looking for the other children, I find a Frederick, age 16 and a Charles, age 14 born in Bethnal Green working as Port Errand Boys and listed as sons with Thomas Huskinson at  94 Warner Place, Bethnal Green. Perhaps Thomas is the brother of Frederick and they have made the boys seem older so they can work??? I do not find a Joseph, nor do I find William.

*Caroline and sons in 1901 - 37 Church Street, Stoke Newington

NAME RELAT. to HEAD   Married?  Age OCCUPATION     BIRTHPLACE
Caroline Huskinson Head M 49   London, St. Pancras
Frederick Huskinson Son S 24 Glass & Metal Engraver living on his own account London, Westminister
Joseph Huskinson Son S 29 Chapel Designer London, Lewisham
Herbert Huskinson Son S 17 Coachman, Groom, Provision Purchaser London, Lewisham

*I admit,  am making somewhat of an assumption that this is the correct record. My assumption is based on consistency of Caroline only adding 5 years of age to each census, so that here, she lists herself as the age of her brother, my great ggrandfather, when she would actually have been 60. The birthplace is correct for her and the birthplaces of the boys are correct and consistent with where the family lived over the years.

[2] In 1901, Rosalie/Rosalia shows up working as a Mother's Helper/Domestic for the Mumford family in Prittlewell, Southend on Sea, Essex.

[3] In 1901 both William and Charles show up living together as boarders in the household of John Burgess in Clerkenwell, Finsbury, London. William works as a wood machinist and Charles works as an apprentice electrical engineer. William Henry Huskinson later went to New Zealand and is listed in the Bluff War Memorial there according to private information sent me by a descendant.
