The KAY Family Newsletter

The KAY Family Newsletter is published quarterly, by Ollen Kay of San Diego, CA. Subscription price is $3 per year to those who can prove a connection to the KAY name. The newslettter is on issue #51 presently -- it has been in existence for over 12 years.

Ollen will print queries and publish data of interest to KAY family members, and says, "Our readers are quite knowledgeable and do a lot of serious work in locating ancestry and passing it on to others." He adds that while he has not discovered the deviation from KAY to KAYE, it is generally considered to be the same but with a spelling variation.

[NOTE: If anyone has any contact information for Ollen Kay, I would appreciate an update. The last e-mail address I have for him no longer functions (Nov 2004).]

The KAY Family Association -- UK

"Calling all KAYs -- irrespective of 'KAY' spelling"! The KAY Family Association UK was formed in the summer of 1998 by a small group of dedicated Kay family history researchers. It had been recognised for some time that there were many Kay researchers working on their own who would benefit by being able to communicate with other like minded workers. The aim of the Association is to encourage study of the history of the Kay family in the UK and to provide a focus for members seeking information. Visit the KFA-UK website for more information about the group and details about becoming a member.

The KAY Family Association -- US

This organization formed in 1988 and has a roster of about 700 dues-paying members. About 95% are descendants of a Robert KAY, who settled in upstate South Carolina in 1794, but anyone with an interest in the KAY(E) name is welcome to join. Dues are $5 - $10 per year, which includes a quarterly newsletter.
