September, 2009 No NGS meeting in SEPTEMBER
Fall certainly arrived quickly this year, or so it seems to me. Anyway, I hope everyone had a good summer. Due to the Labor Day holiday and the fact that many members, including myself, will be out of town, there will be no meeting in September. We will resume our regular meeting October 3rd in the Prairie View Room at North Kansas City Hospital.

Our speaker at our October meeting will be Rebekah Bowen, CA, from the Missouri State Archives-Local Records Preservation Program. Ms. Bowen's talk will cover conservation and preservation of documents. You may remember she was our speaker last March when her talk covered the records of the Missouri State Archives. -- Nina Sinclair
November 7, 2009 Prairie View Room, in the Pavilion
Angela McComas from the Midwest Genealogy Center will present the program in November on Brick Walls. Angela has worked at the Midwest Genealogy Center for approximately eight years and is currently Reference Assistant. She previously has spoken at Northland Genealogy Society as well as many other local genealogy societies. -- Nina Sinclair
