Margaret later m. her overseer, Mathew Armstrong. She is buried at old Smith Cemetery in S. Belmont. Need to recheck DAR sources. Don't know Katherine + Joseph's proof.

SPENCER was a close neighbor of Nicholas DILLING in the 1830 and 1840 census helped to substantiate that belief. Margaret SPENCER is named as a granddaughter in the will of Andrew Taylor in Lincoln Co., NC in 1806. (per notes from Daphene REID.)
