"Ann" is iffy...cannot substantiate her as in this line yet...there is a conflict she may have been married to another...and related to a George Alexander Bowen.

Moved to Darke County after marrying Susannah (close to Castine). Engaged in farming. Also lived in Preble County. Was a saw milling merchant at Dallas (Ansonia), OH.; Raised as a Whig + voted for W. H. Harrison (1836). Later voted for Abolilist Ticket, then Republican + Prohibition .; In Castine he lived in a dismal hut amoung swamps and brush for many years. He spoke of Castine as being a very rough place at the time and stated that at times nearly everybody was drunk. The house in which he was born was a very small one and he said he could remember when he was small of seeing a man stand on the fence and place a dog upon the house., Was listed in the 1860 Census for Butler Twp, Darke Cty, OH; Died at son Ott's home. Services at Otterbien. Died in Eldorado, Butler Twp, Preble Cty, OH."
