The record in the old bible is as follows: William Parke, born May, 1711; Sarah Parke, born May 20, 1720. Their children, Penelope and Elizabeth (twins), born October 28, 1738; Rachel, born November 30, 1740; Benjamin, born January 8, 1743; William, born September 25, 1746; Sarah, born January 25, 1749; Naomi, born May 20, 1751; Anna, born May 20, 1754; Zebulon, born January 25, 1757; John, born December 31, 1759; Margaret, born December 17, 1762.
Penelope, the oldest of the twin sisters, married Richard Stout of near Stoutsburg, and had six sons and three daughters, viz: John, William, Jehu, Richard, Elhahan, Nathan, Rachel, Penelope and Sarah. John, the eldest son, was a very prominent citizen of the adjoining County of Somerset, living near Skillman Station. He was known as "Esq. John," and was a justice from 1810-25, and one of the judges of the Court of Common Pleas, 1820-25.
