Married by James Merrit, Justice of the Peace. Ann Eliza HUGHEY^{(8) (9)} was born on 2 Sep 1828 in Georgia. She died on 2 Jan 1903 in Keltys Cemetery, Lufkin, Angelina, Texas.⁽¹⁰⁾ Her daughter Claudia gave birth to her first child at her mother's house in 1863 or 1864. This was near Magnolia, Columbia, AR.

Ann E. Atkinson was administrator of the estate of B. F. Atkinson. The probate of the estate appears to have begun in January 1862 and ended in June 1869. Benjamin Franklin ATKINSON and Ann Eliza HUGHEY had the following children:
