The Brandenberger Family
of Alsace, and Beaver County, Pennsylvania
Philip Brandenberger Sr. (1775- Aft. 1850) emigrated
with his son Philip Brandenberger Jr. (1812-1889) from Alsace sometime
before 1834. I believe they stayed for awhile in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,
before moving on sometime around 1838 to Marion Township, Beaver County,
Pennsylvania where he bought land from George Schini.
Philip Brandenberger (1775- Aft. 1850)
was born 1775 in Alsace. His intention for Naturalization was filed February 5,
1834 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and he was Certified March 5, 1839 in Beaver
County, having resided in Pennsylvania for at least 5 years.
At age 75 he was living in the household of Philip and Dorothea
Brentenberier in the 1850 Federal Census, Marion Twp., Beaver County,
Pennsylvania.

Philip Brandenberger (1812-1889) son of
Philip Brandenberger was born January 06, 1812 in Germany, and died March
06, 1889 in Marion Twp., Beaver County, Pennsylvania. He married 1st Dorothea
(___) who was born about 1807 and died sometime before 1870. He married
2nd Catherine (___) who was born about 1817 and died sometime before 1880.
His intention for Naturalization was filed February 5, 1834 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania and he was Certified March 8, 1837 in Beaver County, having
resided in Pennsylvania for at least 5 years. His
will was submitted for probate, March 12, 1889.
Children of Philip and Dorothea Brandenberger are:
Edward, Caroline , Sarah, Dorothea, Philip, John,
Rudolph and Pauline.
Caroline Brandenberger (1838-1910)
daughter of Philip and Dorothea Brandenberger married 1856, in Beaver or Butler
County, Pennsylvania, Johannes "John" Schaney, son of Jakob and
Salome (Pflug) Schoene. They resided on what is now Pine Run Road, in Marion Township,
Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Please see The Schaney
