WILL OF Constant Ladd

The will reads as follows (p. 17 Goochland Deed Bk. 9):

In the name of God Amen.

I, Constant Ladd of the Parish of St. James Northam in the County of Goochland  being well in Bodily Health and of sound mind Blessed be God do this  day in the XXIII year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the second, King of Great Brition, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc. make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament: In Manner following viz:

Item. I Give & Bequeath to my Brother Amos Ladd One Hundred and Thirty Acres of Land Situate Lying and being in the County of Goochland near Bever Dam. Together with all my stock of Cattle, Hogs, Horses, Sheep, Mares & every Individual thing that now Appertaineth & belongeth to me.

Item. I do constitute the above said Amos Ladd my Whole & Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament, Revoking all former and other Wills made by me made, Declare this & none other to be my Last Will & Testament & have to this my Last Will & Testament Set my hand this 26th day of July 1750.
