LADD, Bertha (wife of Blayne LINDSY)

     Memphis, TN - Bertha F. LINDSEY, 73, of Memphis, TN., died Monday
morning (Aug. 27, 1984) at the William F. Bowld Hospital, Memphis,
following a long illness.
     She was born in Allen, Aug. 28, 1910, to Leck and Mary ELY LADD.
     She graduated from Jonesville High School in 1929 and was a member of
the Good Sam Camping Club of Hillsdale.  She was a resident of the Homer
area for the Majority of her life.
     Her husband, Blayne, preceded her in death in January 1982.
     She is survived by one son, Kenneth R. of Memphis, TN; one sister,
Mrs. Zella COOK of Litchfield; three brothers, Clyde, LeRoy and Robert LADD
all on Homer; and two grandsons.
     The funeral service wqill be at 1 pm Thursday at the George White
Funeral Home in Litchfield with the Rev. Walter Rothfuss officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Litchfield.  The family
will receivce friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday.
