Quincy - Services for Verlen BURK, a farmer of 133 East Chicago Road,
will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Diedrich Funeral Home in Quincy with the
Rev. Clyde Wonders officiating.
Mr. BURK died shortly after noon Monday in the Coldwater Community
Healt Center. Born Dec. 9, 1909, in Gibsonburg, Ohio, to Harry and Anna
(HUFF) BURK. Mr. BURK lived most of his life in the Quincy area. He was 71.
His wife, Doris LADD, whom he married in 1934 in Hillsdale, survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna COPE of Angola,
Ind., and Mrs. Flora REHNER of Quincy; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby ESTEPT and
Mrs. Willa MULTBY of Ypsilanti; four brothers, Dawson BURK of Eaton Rapids,
Ralph BURK of Fremont, Ind., Elmer BURK of Quincy, and Chester BURK of
Coldwater; and four grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the Funeral
home. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.
