Carolyn Ladd
SANBORNVILLE Carolyn (Rollinson) Ladd, 61, of 329 Meadow St., died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Chelsea, Mass., on Feb. 12, 1941, the daughter of Earl and Francis (McFarland) Rollinson.
She had lived here for the past three years, formerly having been a resident of Rochester. She had been raised by her adoptive father, Francis McFarland, of Haverhill, Mass.
Mrs. Ladd had worked for a number of years as an accountant with Semiconductor of Salem, Mass. More recently, she worked as an early morning clerk with the Puffin Stop in Sanbornville.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was very family oriented. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader. She had been a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary in both Milton and Dover.
One of her great joys was her beloved dog, Midnight, which she was forced to put to sleep in June.
Her husband, Gordon Ladd, died in 1998.
Surviving family members include Francis McFarland of Haverhill, Mass.; two daughters, Kathleen Taatjes and her fiancee, Scott Prunier of Milton, and Denise Wilkins of Sanbornville; two sons, Daniel Fennell and his wife, Sharon, of Sanbornville, and Ronald Fennell of Rochester; three brothers, Floyd Rollinson of New York, James McFarland and Greg McFarland, both of Haverhill; a sister-in-law, Helen Dillon of Saugus, Mass.; and nine grandchildren.
Family members and friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Nelson, pastor of the Church of God in Rochester, will officiate. Burial will follow in Milton Mills Cemetery.
