     Jonesville - Gladys Michael, 81, of 2506 Dakota Ave., flint, and
formerly of Jonesville, died Monday morning in the St. Joseph Hospital, Ann
Arobr, following a long illness.
     She was born Aug. 20, 1897, in Putnam County, Ohio, the daughter of
Clyde and Flora RICKARD LADD.
     She married Wilbur MICHAEL and he preceded her in death, as did one
son, Carl, and four brothers.
     Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Ethel PAETH of Temperance, Mrs.
Francis (Esther) GRATZ of Frontier, and Mrs. Verlin (Doris) BURK of Quincy;
twp brothers, Arthur L. LADD of Hillsdale and Alton LADD of Jonesville,
three grandchildren, one Great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
     The funeral service is at 10 am Wednesday in the Brown Funeral Home,
flint.  A graveside service, with an open casket, will be at 2 pm at the
Mount Hope Cemetery, Litchfield.
