HAWK, Martha "Mattie" (LADD)
     Phoenix, Ariz. - Mattie HAWK (Mrs. John S.), 91, Phoenix, Ariz.,
mother of Ralph HAWK, Lindsborg, died Friday at Good Samaritan hospital,
Phoenix.
     Mrs. HAWK, the widow of John S. HAWK, was born may 10, 1882, in Putnam
County, Ohio.  She had been a Phoenix resident for 25 years, moving there
from Michigan.
     Survivors in addition to the son are a daughter, Mrs. Beulah F.
DANIELS, Phoenix; 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
     Arrangements will be announced by Anderson funeral home.  Lindsborg, KS.

NOTE:  Mattie passed away on Oct. 26, 1973.  She was the d/o Benson LADD &
Esther SPITSNAUGLE.
