Isaac W. Ladd Passes Away
I. W. Ladd, one of Yell County's most prominent citizens, died at his home
in Danville Tuesday February 11, at 11 P.M. following an illness of several
weeks. He was 79 years, 9 months and 11 days old.
His parents moved from Indiana 101 years ago and settled at Waltreak, where
Mr. Ladd was born. He was married to Anna Crosby of Waltreak in 1888. They
have made their home in Danville or near Danville since.
Surviving him are his widow Mrs. Anna Ladd, one son, E. E. Ladd of Danville,
two Daughters, Mrs. Roxie Foss, Sacramento, California and Miss Blanche Ladd,
Danville, one brother, John Ladd of Waltreak.
Funeral services were conducted at the Danville Methodist Church by the pastor
Rev. C. W. Good, assisted by Rev. G. W. Hunnicutt and Rev. George Denton.
Interment in the Danville Cemetery.
Pall Bearers Buford Compton, Chas. Thacker, P. C. Wiseman, Baxter Gatlin,
Lynn Wilson and R. F. Waters.
The Democrat joins the many friends in extending sympathy to the family.
