June A. Ladd

GARDINER - June A. Ladd, 74, of Highland Avenue,
Gardiner, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at her home.

She was born in Guilford on May 3, 1923, the daughter of
Claude and Ida McGuire Austin.

Mrs. Ladd was employed at AMHI for five years,
MaineGeneral Medical Center for five years and at the Veterans
Administration hospital, Togus, for 17 years. She retired in
1985.

She was a member and past officer of American Legion
Auxiliary Post No. 132, Richmond.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Austin, who died in
1974 and her sister, Helen Purington, who died in 1997.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Warren Ladd Sr. of
Gardiner; six children, Warren Jr. and his wife Terri of Sidney,
Dennis L. and his wife Cheryl of Wayne, David A. and his wife
Jean of Gardiner, Carrol A. Ladd of Gardiner, Heidi Whitley
and her husband Paul of Burlington, and Richard A. and his wife
Lisa of South Portland; 12 grandchildren, Travis Eldridge,
Melissa and Jeremy Ladd, Penny Ladd, Jolene Ladd, Scott,
Marie and Terrance Ladd, Adam and Jered Ladd, including two
step-grandchildren, Robert and Scott Morrison; two
great-grandchildren, Joey Barefoot of California and Terrance
Ladd Jr. of Waterville; two sisters-in-law and one
brother-in-law; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Staples Funeral
Home, 53 Brusnwick Ave., where a funeral service will be held
at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery,
Augusta.
