SALEM - Marda Lu Ladd of Salem, Ore. passed on peacefully Mon., March 29, at Salem Hospital.
She was born Jan. 27, 1940 in Walla Walla, Wash. to Wayne and Marjorie Pinkerton. She attended Walla Walla Schools graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1958. She also attended Washington State University and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Marda retired from the State in 1990 after a dedicated career in social services.
She married Richard C. Ladd April 22, 1960. They were married 44 years.
She is survived by her son, Michael C. Ladd and wife, Stacey of Salem; daughter, Laura Gosnell and husband, Doug of Waldport; 5 grandchildren; sister, Anita Belcher and husband, John of Richland, Wash.; sister-in-law, Patti Ladd of Salem; brother-in-law, John Ladd and wife, Sharen of Omaha, Neb.; 12 nieces and nephews.
To our wonderful mother and her undying love for her family. We will miss you greatly and forever love you.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley.
Funeral Services will be held Sat., April 3, at 10:30 a.m., at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service with interment following at Belcrest Cemetery.
