ROCKLAND — Margaret H. Ladd of Rockland and Kiawah Island, S.C., died Sunday, June 22, 1997, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a long illness.
Survivors include a daughter, Allison Chapman, of Topsham.
Mrs. Ladd was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Hauck. She graduated from the University of Maine in 1940 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mrs. Ladd was active in Penobscot Bay Medical Center Auxiliary, the Farnsworth Museum and many charitable and civic organizations.
Also surviving are her husband, Edward Ladd; a brother, Hubert Hauck of Naples, Fla.; two daughters, Gail Ladd of Nashua, N.H., and Anne Carlson of Chelmsford, Mass.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
There will be no visiting hours. Burial office will be conducted at 11 a.m. on July 2 in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Halsey Howe officiating. Burial will be in Achorn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home in Thomaston. The Time Record  Brunswick, Maine
